The brief was to transform a 1970s retirement home into a contemporary retirement living concept. We wanted to stimulate a more shared, social, active, and community connected living environment.

Shared kitchens on each floor created a natural connection between the residents. Activity rooms such as the atelier, the library, the music room, and the game room provided much-needed shared space to encourage social interaction. Micro apartments were designed to provide the residents with their own individual living space.

Working with a team of architects, designers, artists, and makers it was our goal to create a social and relevant space for retired living.
